Most major airlines fly into the Birmingham Airport. There is a shuttle available from the airport to the Hilton Birmingham at UAB.
The hotel shuttle operates on an as needed-based on availability bases. It does not run on a constant time schedule to and from the airport. All guests needing pickup at the airport will need to call the hotel front desk when they land and let them know they need a pickup at the airport. The front desk will tell the guests where they need to go, and they will dispatch the shuttle for them. **We always suggest guests calling when they land rather than waiting until they collect their bags because it is a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the airport and this minimizes guest wait time**
For leaving the hotel to get to the shuttle they will need to speak with a front desk agent and the desk agent will retrieve a shuttle driver for the guest to take them.
The hotel shuttle runs to and from the airport as well as a one mile radius of the hotel. If anyone has to wait on a shuttle, it usually is no more than a 15 minute wait.
Driving Directions
Traveling North on I-65: Follow I-65 North to University Blvd. Exit onto University Blvd. and follow to 20th Street South. Turn right onto 20th Street South. The Hilton Birmingham at UAB is located on the corner of University Blvd. and 20th Street South.
Traveling South on I-65: Follow I-65 South to 4th Avenue South. 4th Avenue South is a one-way street. Follow 4th Avenue South to 20th Street South and turn right onto 20th Street South. Drive 4 blocks to University Blvd. The Hilton Birmingham at UAB is located on the corner of University Blvd. and 20th Street South.
Traveling West on I-20/50 or from the Birmingham Intl. Airport: Follow Airport Blvd. to I-20/50 West. Take I-20/59 West to the 126-A exit. Exit to the right onto Highway 31 South, which is the Red Mountain Expressway. Follow Highway 31 to the 8th Avenue South Exit. Turn right at the bottom of the exit onto University Blvd. Follow one mile to 20th Street South. Turn left onto 20th Street South. The Hilton Birmingham at UAB is located on the corner of University Blvd. and 20th Street South.
Traveling East on I-20/59: Take I-20/59 East to I-65 South: Follow I-65 South to 4th Avenue South. 4th Avenue South is a one-way street. Follow 4th Avenue South to 20th Street South and turn right onto 20th Street South. Drive 4 blocks to University Blvd. The Hilton Birmingham at UAB is located on the corner of University Blvd. and 20th Street South.
